Scott Waller, a Pasadena-born, native Californian, has carved a definite mark in the music world and has continued to grow into the 21st century. Scott found his passion at an early age from exposure to and participation in multiple areas of the arts, specifically theatre and music, with love of theatre motivating his career as a singer. Influenced by many artists such as the Beatles and Rolling Stones, Scott possesses an innate singing voice, a natural free form, personal brand of sharp-edged melodic rock.
Scott’s musical history began with guitarist Tommy Girvin (currently with EDDIE MONEY), forming the legendary SMILE in the late 70’s. Mesmerized by Scott’s vocal style, theatrical finesse and the band’s compelling musical performances, it was no surprise that followers grew in record numbers in and around the Los Angeles music scene. Competition to secure a record deal was fierce, but SMILE accomplished just that with the debut of their self-titled album “SMILE”, released on MCA/Curb Records in 1985. With the lack of solid label support, Scott was later presented with a collaborative opportunity with QUIET RIOT’S guitarist Carlos Cavazo in the early 90’s resulting in, GANG OF THIEVES. Although short-lived, they performed live and created rare demo recordings between the two. Scott then formed a band with guitarist Brian McKinley which resulted in the strongest of his musical alliances, to date, by forming, ROAD CREW.
It wasn’t long before Scott’s longtime love of theatre, travel and behind-the-scenes workings naturally moved him into a lucrative career as a freelance Roadie and Production Manager. For over a decade he has toured with the likes of Sting, Luther Vandross, Dave Matthews Band, Aerosmith, Kiss, the Rolling Stones, Meatloaf, Andrea Bocelli Tour and during 2010 through 2011, Scott worked on Lady Gaga's Monster Ball tour. With 200 dates, worldwide it was the 14th highest-grossing concert of all time.
Fueled by his passion for singing and extensive on-the-road experiences, Scott has shifted gears by recently redirecting his career toward touring as a background singer and session recording opportunities.
