Может быть речь идёт о Dave Scott? Или это одно и тоже лицо?

Про Ligeia
1986, Ottawa, Canada - Ligeia is formed as ex-Annihilator members John Bates (vocals) and Dave Richer (bass) join with Al Clermont (guitar, ex-Black Witch) and Graham MacSkimming (drums, ex-Evil Sinner). The name was chosen after studying an ancient copy of Edgar Allan Poe's Tales of Mystery and Imagination. The band decided that the tale of Ligeia, who overcomes death itself, symbolized their new direction into dark, atmospheric Heavy Metal.
The Thrash Metal roots of the band remained intact, as demonstrated by "Die Or Be Killed" and other Thrash riffs throughout Ligeia's 1986 demo. The demo was recorded and mixed at an Orleans, Ontario recording studio, where Black Witch and other Hard Rock/Metal acts had been recorded. "Alison Hell" was included after Bates' and Richer's work on the song with Annihilator. The band was unhappy with the demo's final mix, but there was label interest, and requests to record another demo.
A contract was signed with the studio owner to produce the next demo and shop it to a suitable label to sign the band. Meanwhile, Annihilator featured a song also entitled "Ligeia", on their "Phantasmagoria" demo.
Ligeia's 1986 demo was originally only released to record companies and radio. The owner of the Orleans studio where it was recorded, and the master tapes, were never found after a thorough search several years later. All that remained were a few cassette copies.
Mastering work was done in the early 2000's by Clermont and MacSkimming; a pre-emptive master of “Shroud Of Sounds” by MacSkimming was featured on the Strappado Heavy Metal Rarities site in 2011; and this, the final cassette remaster by PMT Studio was done in 2015. By this time the cassette was semi-demagnetized in the first few minutes of "Shroud Of Sounds", despite using the best copy of the cassette available. Effort has been made to compensate for both cassette deterioration and the difficulties of the original mix. Superlative restoration and mastering of the cassette has been done at PMT Studio with the expertise of mastering technician Michel Petulli.
Ligeia's music took a very different direction than most Metal bands at that time. I hope you enjoy it, despite the deterioration of the source media. The band may be gone but Ligeia lives on. Unfortunately, it appears that no photos of the band are available, despite having done three photo shoots. Thanks to all band members and supporters, who helped make the music a reality 32 years ago.
