Quote:
OBSCURE SIX piece hard rock AOR unit from, I think, Ohio who actually scored a minor hit single with the track 'She Don't Know Me' written, like all the matrial on this album, by Donnie Iris And The Cruisers memberMark Avsec. Bizarrely, Avsec isn't actually in the band but his talent is all over it - in fact this could have been a Donnie Iris album right down to the vocals and the arrangements.
The album showcases a smooth, sophisticated sound that dove-tails perfectly with late seventies/early eighties triumphs such as Iris, B.E. Taylor and Breathless. Gloriously melodic and well produced AOR with all the right twists and turns including multi layed vocals, tight rhythms, heartbreaking ballads and wickedly piercing guitar (think Toto).
Sadly, Fair Warning sufferred at the hands of poor promotion and a label, MCA, that couldn't break an egg let alone a record. They remain, however, an essential curiosity from an era when this kind of music was all the rage. It still sounds great by the way.
Has always been tough to find but has completely dried up lately.
