The rock group Apple Viper was formed around 1983 in Toronto, Canada. The group's members were lead singer/guitarist Cat Smith, bassist Tessa Kimmel, drummer Patti Burns, and keyboardist/guitarist Moira Connelly. The band performed only in Canada, appearing at clubs and bars. In 1985 Apple Viper managed to get a few of their tunes released on a couple of compilation albums. Catchy songs like "Maple Metal" and "Get Up" won them some attention, including spots on a television commercial and on CBC's Rock Wars program, but after that the band faded away. ~ Charlotte Dillon, All Music Guide
