Here is another tape from Roxy (that's killer female singer Roxy Perry). This one was recorded a bit later, in 1993, after she broke up with Queensryche's Mike Stone. This tape was done to finalize her recording deal with a major label. This is a 5-song demo features songstress Roxy Perry’s final demo before securing a deal with Rocket/A&M Records. This demo features “Moonlight Tango,” “Hey,” “Queen For A Day,” “Give It Up,” and “That’ll Be Good For You” . It was produced and recorded by Alan Niven (who became famous for managing and producing such greats as Guns & Roses, Great White, and Dokken) and was only used to shop for a label deal and not released to public. Most of these songs never saw the light of day and only very few copies of this tape were produced and solicited. Various session players performed on the recording. The sound is fantastic! Some good money was spent in the studio, but because this went only to a select few, the packaging is very basic. Roxy sounds amazing on this one and if it weren't for the grunge explosion happening, these songs would have been in everyone's tape deck! Great melodic metal indeed!!!!

ROXY was a Los Angeles based band featuring female vocalist Roxy Stone (who at the time was married to Queesnsryche guitarist Mike Stone) who later went by Roxy Lopez and released one CD on the A&M/Rockit label (managed and produced by former Guns & Roses and Great White manager Alan Niven). This was ROXY's 3rd classic demo tape featuring both then-husband Mike Stone (Queensryhe, Speed-X, Klover, Eden, Craig Goldy's Ritual, Andy McCoy) and underground guitar legend Greg Leon (Quiet Riot/Dubrow, Dokken, Greg Leon Invasion) on guitars (each play on different tracks). Incredible songs, unsurpassed musicianship and excellent production
by WARRIOR's Joe Floyd. Roxy has an incredibly soulful voice mixing blues and hard rock sounding like a cross between Janis Joplan, Aretha Franklin and Pat Benatar! Great '80s-style bluesy hard-rock tunes!

No J-card. Purple label on clear one-sided cassette with type-set titles and purple label on spine of cassette case ("Roxy Demo"). The label is a bit wrinkled on right upper corner (as if the label wasn't lined-up correctly) but otherwise tape is in excellent condition and rarely played.

Got hold of another copy of a killer demo from the female fronted, LA metal hair band, Roxy. This is a different version of tape I sold back in July and again in september. However, it once again features Queensryche guitarist Mike Stone (and then-husband of Roxy Perry's) on guitar. It also features Jeff Duncan of Armored Saint and Odin fame on the killer tune "Bullet Proof Vest". "What About The World" is also duplicated here from that other demo, but then there are two additional, different songs here. However, this tape does not have a cover, but those different two songs make this a rare and vital addition to a comprehensive collection of LA hair metal: "Lord Have Mercy" and "That'll Be Good For You". Great stuff, great recording quality and killer 1980s hair band hard rock and metal with the sexy Roxy up front.... check it out, worth every penny!
