А что это за группа? В метал архивах нет. Я видел альбом Assassin в магазине поддержанных пластинок, но никогда не слышал. Сколько альбомов у них и какиде на компакты переизданы?

OZZ - NO PRISONERS (1980, EPIC)
Alexis T Angel - vocals
Gregg Parker - guitars, vocals

Additional Players:
Donnell Hagen - drums
Craig Gruber - bass
Willie Bass - bass
Michael Cavanaugh - keyboards
Ollie Brown - percussion

Background
Well then, here is one album that should've been reviewed years ago. It's been two decades since Ozz were doing their thing. Essentially, this band were a duo, Angel handling the vocals, while Parker handles the guitars. Being a black guitarist, he is held in the same esteemed league as Nikki Buzz (Sun, Vendetta, M-80), Marcus and Spacey T (Sound Barrier). The Hendrix comparisons also rear their head and have been bandied about willy-nilly, but really folks, this is superb hard rock that deserves its place at the beginning of the eighties, not the sixties! Not much is known about the rhythm section, apart from bass player Craig Gruber who has played with Elf/Rainbow, The Rods and Gary Moore. All in all, 'No Prisoners' is a solid album, not a lot in the way of filler, and contains a few tracks that have a good dose of keyboards which will keep the AORsters happy. My first run-in with Ozz was during 1980 where they appeared on a CBS Compilation Double LP called 'Killer Watts'. This set contained acts which were on the CBS/Epic roster at the time, hence the likes of Ray Gomez, Shakin' Street, Trust and Ozz were bought to my attention at an early age.

The Songs
As for the songs, well a handful that were taped for me years ago sound just as good now as they did back then. You can't go wrong with stand-out tracks 'Sail On' and ' Lonely Rider', the latter featuring a frantic guitar attack toward the end. 'Hungry Love' is resplendent with keyboards, another album highlight, as is the AOR-ish 'Givin' Up On Love', while the best known track from this set is 'Checkin' It Out (Baby Don't You Cry)'. The only out-of-sorts track here is the instrumental 'Dreams', which sounds like a watered excursion into space rock.

In Summary
The album did see a CD release a few years back, containing three additional tracks from Ozz's second hard-to-find album 'Exploited'. However, your best bet is to track it down on vinyl (because it's cheaper) or as an mp3 download somewhere. You won't be disappointed. A very good record, and one which (to my ears) stands the test of time real well. A re-release on CD would not go amiss either.. hint hint.. As for Alexis T Angel and Gregg Parker, not much has been heard of this talented duo since.

на СД издавался только один альбом - дебютник , в 1997г. с бонусами

T.e. издавался No Prisoners как Ozz.
