Mad Love is one of the most charismatic and powerful hard rock bands ever to come out of the L.A. music scene.
The band’s chemistry is absolutely magic and their live shows are nothing short of mesmerizing! Here are the reasons why: Jay Basinger-lead vocals Mad Love’s dynamic and sultry front man, Jay Basinger hails from the "Rock and Roll" capital of the world Detroit Michigan, home of legendary rockers Ted Nugent, Bob Seger, and Alice Cooper.
Jay’s signature rasp and belting chest voice come both naturally and by experience through years of touring, thrilling audiences world wide. Over the past two decades, Jay has performed thousands of concerts on five continents in front of festival crowds!
Critics and fans alike are mystified by Jay’s ability to channel and harness the balls-out delivery of some of the best lead singers in rock and roll history; Steven Tyler, Jeff Keith (Tesla), and Sammy Hagar.
Between Mad Love songwriting, recording sessions, and live concerts, Jay is a regular performer in the critically acclaimed Las Vegas-based show, "Rockstar-The Tribute" at The Harmon Theater. Kyler Schogen-guitar/vocals Kyler has an extensive and colorful background in a wide variety of music with bluesy-hard rock, being his natural forte.
His decades of studio and touring experience manifest in the tones and riffs emitted from the fingers of a seasoned pro. If one were to meld Michael Schenker with Jimmy Page, you’d get Mad Love’s Kyler. The band’s compelling production, cleverly layered guitars, and signature sexy-slinky riffs, are all at the hands of this talented-consummate musician.
Kyler has worked with artists from the camps of The Wallflowers, Chaka Khan, Night Ranger, Richard Marx, Wilson Picket, Stevie Wonder, and many more.
Between Mad Love’s schedule, Kyler can be found shredding away in the studio as usual.
He is truly a gifted genius! Tony Tasis-bass/vocals Tony was born in Athens Greece and raised in New York City, The Bronx.
At an early age he learned to appreciate just about every kind of music from ethnic to commercial on a world wide scale. He started playing guitar, bass, and some drums at the age of sixteen.
From that point forward, Tony gravitated to playing just about anything with strings on it! His biggest influences have always been Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, and many more classic rock bands and artists.
He began his professional touring career playing guitar and singing lead vocals in a band from New York called "Da Bronx".
The band toured the east coast for many years and eventually relocating to L. A. Tony became first call on everybody’s list from the camps of Megadeth, Kiss, Steele Dan, Frank Zappa, and more.
Tony is 100%, through and through, a musician’s musician! Duane Waider-drums/vocals Duane is one of L.A.’s most dependable and experienced session drummer/vocalists, who rounds out Mad Love’s line-up. Duane started playing drums at age 3, and at age 5, formed a talent show-winning child prodigy band, “Duane and The Red Coats”.
This highly-seasoned ''phenom" band appeared on both national T.V. and radio, while touring extensively with The Turtles, Iron Butterfly, Five Americans and Herman’s Hermits and many more.
In 1984, Duane moved to L. A. and became a major power-player in recording sessions and tours with some of the industry’s heaviest hitters.
He’s worked with artists from the camps of Rod Stewart, Billy Idol, The Motels, Rainbow, Cher, Johnny Winter, Marvin Gaye, Frank Zappa, and more.
Between Mad Love’s schedule, he currently plays with members of The Standells, Troggs, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and We Five known as the band “Icons”.
Mad Love is credited for producing songs for television and the motion picture industry, as well as, prevailing over thousands of bands to win best new hard rock band for L.A.’s premier rock station 95.5 KLOS.
The band’s songwriting synergy (Kyler, Basinger, Waider, Tasis) is undeniable! Their sound swaggers with a macho punch of sizzling riffs and primal-sexy grooves infused with an infectious blend of authentic lyrics and dynamic melodies!
