Альбом Unreleased 1993 вообще другой по стилю, возможно это разные группы.
Одна и та же, как вот пишут у себя в био они:
Quote:
Life after death is possible.
It happens all the time… at least in the music industry.
It’s not an easy gig to make it in the music business. Many aim for that elusive dream of rock star status, but few ever attain it. Some achieve their 15 seconds of fame only to fade back into obscurity. Still, there are many stories of musicians coming back to life after a long period of silence. And while the music industry is struggling to find its place in the digital age, it’s only a matter of time before it experiences a renaissance of sorts.
Who doesn’t love a story about second chances?
In 1991, a band rose out of the rust belt of Northeastern, Ohio. Brought up on healthy doses of 80s anthem rock, the band found inspiration in everything from Van Halen, Bon Jovi, and Dokken to Queensrÿche, Iron Maiden, and Slayer. Classic, rock from the 60s and 70s, such as the Beatles and Led Zeppelin also heavily influenced the band.
Based out of Youngstown, Ohio, Love and War released an EP in the early 90s, and fans craving a little rock candy for the ear gobbled it up. The band played regionally, and even made a trip to LA in 1994. The LA excursion led to a small mention in Entertainment Weekly, which quickly snowballed into two distribution deals overseas. Their dream to perform music for a living was becoming close to reality.
The 90s was a tumultuous time for rock music. Grunge was rapidly taking over the scene, and hard rock was becoming a dying breed. Grunge was the flavor-of-the day on MTV, and the masses were eating it up. Love And War (from Youngstown, OH) stuck true to who they were, and had no interest in musical bandwagons. They wanted to write, record, tour and share their version of the music they grew up on with audiences worldwide.
The band released its full-length CD titled War Rages On in 1994. Considering the music climate, the disc sold well regionally and did even better overseas. Love and War (from Youngstown, OH) was a perfect fit for the gap created by the cancellation of Headbangers Ball.
Just when the band was beginning to peak, the grunge era finally took its toll. Thousands of hours spent driving, playing, and promoting for little or no money had caught up at last. Being in a band is like being married, but to four or five people. When all goes well, there are few things more rewarding. When things don't go well, bands tend to fall apart.
Years have gone by, but the fire inside Love And War still burns to do what they love… create authentic rock and roll. Gone are their 20s, but reborn once more they are (in my best Yoda voice).
On this page, you will be able to follow the members that made up Love And War even though they live in different states. The new band will include Rob Kane on vocals, Sean Magee on guitar/vocals, Dave Hope on drums/vocals, and two of the original three bass players, Mike Nagy and George Allen, who will be trading parts on bass and vocals.
Their first destination is Mindrocket Recording. During the summer of 2015, they will rerecord five fan favorites and two new songs. “Who The Hell Are You,” which was played live during their last year together, will now be laid down in the studio along with a brand new tune written by Dave and Sean called “Change of Frequency.”
After that, who knows! There is talk of doing a one-off reunion show in Youngstown, Ohio in the fall or winter of 2015. The show would kick off the release of their new EP, which will be available to download on multiple sites and for purchase on Vinyl. The guys are considering a kickstarter type campaign as well.
Once the release launches, the live shows will be few and far between, if any at all. The band has decided to continue doing what they love most: writing, recording, and releasing music for rock and metal fans to enjoy.
So, as of January 7th of 2015, please welcome back five guys who will make their second chance happen under the new band name…
