Since their inception in 1995, BALLBREAKER has stormed across the east coast, bringing their explosive live show to the masses and repeatedly raising the bar for all bands that follow in their wake. Their “anything goes” attitude on the stage consistently fills clubs and festivals with fans eagerly anticipating the BALLBREAKER experience. This over the top stage persona has made them fan favorites in every market they perform in and has won them supporting slots for many notable acts such as, Loverboy, Nazareth, and Quiet Riot.
In the year 2000, after obtaining a swelling fan base, as well as a reputation as one of the top AC/DC tribute acts in the industry, BALLBREAKER felt that the time was ripe to release their first all original c.d. This independently released disc has since gone on to move units throughout the United States and Europe, simply by internet and performance sales alone. The premier track off the disc, “Inside Out”, was featured in a promotional ad for a Buffalo Bills game in 2001, was in consideration for the Adam Sandler film, “Little Nicky”, and has become a fan favorite and staple at all of their performances. Due to the success of the disc, BALLBREAKER has found themselves the subject of various radio interviews, as well as newspaper and magazine articles in both the United States and Europe. Nicky Baldrian of Fireworks magazine has been quoted as saying that, “AC/DC does not hail from Australia, they hail from New York, and their name is BALLBREAKER.”
2004 found BALLBREAKER forging ahead at full steam. In the beginning of the year, they were a featured act on the AC/DC tribute disc from Sharkbite Records, “Voltage Overload”, containing 10 of the best tribute acts from around the world. 2005 was another landmark year for BALLBREAKER. Along with the release of their second full length c.d., “Hangman’s Tree,” the band found international distribution with Houston, Texas based label, Perris Records. BALLBREAKER appeared in the international rock magazine Revolver twice and their c.d. was selected in the top 10 hard rock releases of ’05 by Canadian rock webzine sleazeroxx.com. The new c.d. gained, airplay, press and sales across North and South America, Britain, Europe, Australia and Japan. BALLBREAKER music could also be found in the independent feature length film, “A Night At The Cat” from Daydream Productions. BALLBREAKER is currently working on a new c.d. for a 2008 release, featuring more of their trade mark, whiskey-soaked, rock-n-roll.
