http://www.infoclub.com.np/entertain/mu ... rlife.htmlAfterlife is a trio of professionally trained musicians. Their sound is more than a little like Rush (even the vocals remind me of Geddy Lee). Other influences include Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, Van Halen, and Dream Theater.
Current Lineup:
Jarrod Cox: Bass, Guitar, Vocals, Keyboards, Midi Pedals
Michael Johnson: Drums and percussion
Brian Montrey: Electric and Acoustic Guitars

"The Native Elements" begins the CD with a prominent Rush influence. "August" is an even better song, and has a more unique sound. "Demon Hour" is a little heavier with great bass and drum lines. "Seasons" uses acoustic guitar and shows a bit of the Led Zeppelin influence. "Falling Apart" is another unique song that highlights Afterlife's talent well. "Mosaic of Scars" has a little heavier sound. "The Wasteland" goes back toward the Rush sound, but still with Afterlife's own touch. "Love Medicine" stands out as different; it is a little heavier and really has it's own feel. "Minor Seconds" starts out with a cool acoustic guitar part and has some great lyrics (as does the whole CD). This is a very good rock (not metal) CD. I think fans of Rush, Zebra, or bands along that line will really enjoy it.
